02:11 pm I’ve just been doing three hours of photography work so I thought I’d give myself a break lol. It’s becoming a never-ending pile of work at the moment and I’ve hardly done any of it the past two and a half weeks I’ve had off school, whoops.
As far as Christmas presents went as I haven't really mentioned xmas in the other posts, my parents got me a gorgeous new watch, it’s lovely – silver and old and comes with a set of other silver and white gold faces that you can change. I also got another new mobile and I’ve vowed not to break this one.. I hope. It’s the Sony Ericsson T610, my new friend; ironically I have named it Eric. I got loads of other stuff but I’m not going to bore everyone by listing it all, hah.
New Years Eve I chose to spend with my family and we sat around nibbling cheese and crackers, drinking wine and playing Scrabble. It was great, as sad as it may sound! No new years resolutions this year, I know I won’t keep them so there’s no point. I guess in general would be to make the most of the year, enjoy my friends before I leave to University – of course working hard to get there in the first place and smile. How tacky, but oh so true.

05:07 pm Having standards about other people and what they do, or having your own opinion about others I think is fine unless you go around shouting your mouth off. I’ve always thought myself to have some kind of standards in that I have respect for others and am always open to other people’s opinions on situations, mostly because they’re more likely to have the right answer in the first place! I went to an English Literature conference and workshop type of an event today at college and fair enough, the A-level students there were very varied. Now, I’m not one to be jealous of people that are incredibly good at a subject ‘cause I guess you can only ‘do your best’ at things and that’s cool. But, there was one guy in the conference that was so far up his own arse you could see it in his mouth. If someone has the guts in the first place to voice their opinion on something in front of around 50 other people, you should listen to what they say and keep what you think to yourself, unless it’s something polite or constructive criticism I guess. But noooo, posh-git who kept trying to baffle us all with his likely to be made-up words that he spends his time on Friday nights creating, had to either say something in attempt to make the person look and feel stupid or snigger with his ‘chum’ next to him who was also stuck up his own arse not to mention his friend’s arse too.
And the git sat on the other side of the room taking the piss out of every person that talked, who resembled a five year-old primary school kid with attention issues, is a completely different story. And breathe Cara, breathe.

07:43 pm I was having a stressful morning today even though I finish all my lessons at half twelve. When I arrived home I thought I’d have the classic Heinz tomato soup to warm up my wind blasted, frozen self in the hope of making myself feel better. But, oh no, my day couldn’t get better could it? Splat, the whole bowl dive-bombed towards the carpet, soup absolutely everywhere. Now our front living room looks like a massacre from a horror movie or, if you look from the right angle, a luminous octopus in the slight shade of red. My Mum will be pleased.
On a happier note, it snowed, or tried to snow, on Saturday. It was more of a slushy mush but to us English people, that’s our quota for the year. Needless to say, I trotted around the house like a kid on Christmas morning.

04:16 pm Christmas has come early to me this past week, my Mum decided she would buy me a new digital camera, a television and a video and DVD player for my room. To say I was shocked is a little bit of an understatement! I’m spoilt by my parents sometimes.. So, now I can take lots of random photographs, upload them onto here and bore you all, fantastic. I can see the excitement in all your faces.
My UCAS form was sent last week so hopefully I’ll be getting some replies from the Universities sometime soon. It’s kind of scary to think that in less than a year I’ll be at University, being or trying to be, independent. Considering I’m still quite shy around new people, dislike public speaking and do the girly-thing of going to the toilets in groups when I’m out, it’s kind of worrying to think I’ll be ‘independent’. On the other hand I can’t wait for the new opportunities that I’ll be faced with. ‘Another whirlwind adventure’ as Donkey from Shrek would say.
I have about three English essays and one Media essay to write in the next few days so that’ll keep me occupied and full of enthusiasm… hmmmm…

05:42 pm I have a digital camera that a few months ago I thought was broken because the screen display was constantly black and the photographs were coming out purple. So, when on a cleaning spree shortly after, I threw out the USB cable thinking I wouldn’t need it. The situation to follow is unbelievable typical and obvious to have happened. I got the digital camera working again last week. Now I have a camera that I can take photos with but can’t take them off onto the computer because of no cable. Everywhere I’ve been doesn’t stock USB cables for that camera. They tell me to ring these various places, go on these websites but nope, nothing. Sod’s law, eh. So now my Mum and Dad have very kindly decided that seeing as I’m doing A-level photography anyway, I may as well have a decent digital camera as well as a 35mm one too. So, that’s on my Christmas list this year. Anyone recommend a good digital camera available in the UK?
I went shopping in Oxford today. Walking into the Disney store expecting to hear the usual Disney film songs that they usually play, what do I hear? Christmas songs. On November the 6th. I reckon by the year 2010, Christmas will be on January 1st because it’ll keep getting earlier every year and it’ll be Christmas pretty much everyday. Of course, Jesus would get old rapidly, the obesity rate would be booming due to extreme consumption of chocolates and Father Christmas will retire early due to heart conditions from too many mince pies. Most of my time has been spent with schoolwork, oh joy of joys. This year is going to be poo, I can sense it. I'll have no social life and I'm lacking in one already. There is no hope!

01:02 pm I definitely want to go to Lincoln University, I loved it. Minus the bum-numbing caused by a near three hour car journey to get there, miserable weather and coldness that’d freeze the goolies off a monkey, causing extreme teeth chattering, it was overall a great day out.
The university was modern, although in my Mum’s opinion “It looks like a prison”. I feel she needs to watch more of Changing Rooms to get the whole impractical-but-oh-so-stylish outlook on things. The course sounds really good, the lecture was interesting and the seats didn’t make me bum go numb. Always good. Oooh, and the café serve killer hot chocolate. I think I’ll need a gallon of that to get me through the day judging by the weather tendencies. I’m not meaning to offend anyone who lives further up north at all, you’re probably all used to it and are prepared with overly-sized woolly jumpers but us people, the carrot-crunchers from down south freeze at the sight of icy conditions. Literally.
I’ve developed an addiction for ‘X Factor’. Anyone else think that lil old lady should have gone through? Let’s start a petition. Old Ladies R Us. Current Mood: excited Current Music: Special D - Come with me

11:05 am I've narrowed my University choices down to the six I need:
Birmingham Gloucestershire Southampton Lincoln Westminster Greenwich
All to study either Media and Communication or Media and Cultural Studies. Do any of you know if those are good choices? I'm picky you see, terrible.
Eastenders is on soon, poor Minty! I feel so sorry for him, he's lovely. Oh and not to mention Alfie, he needs a big hug.. from me... because I love him...
I still have nothing back from Netrillium about my website. The money's been withdrawn from the bank but still no news... hmm.. suspicious.. Current Mood: content

08:48 pm I know I'm not over Ben yet. But, I feel I'm getting a bit better now. I realise that I am better off now, I've got an aim of going to University and to get a decent job. And be happy. But still, I miss his hugs and kisses though. That will fade in time. Pfft.
And, I've been losing weight and exercising to boost my confidence. I've lost around 7lbs so far, so all is good.
My Dad bought me a pink fluffy table lamp today, I love it. I've named it (Why I named it I don't know) Fizzgog. It's so fluffy. And pink.
I'm off to Birmingham University tomorrow for an open day, have a look around.. should be interesting.
Mum's got the film 'Something's Gotta Give'. Have no idea what it's about but ooo. Current Mood: okay

05:08 pm Winter's on it's way. I know this because I have a cold. Started with a sore throat the other day and now I can't hear very well, can't breathe through my nose which now looks a shade of red and a voice that sounds marginally like a bloke. Ah, fun fun winter.
Been spending my time doing a lot of work for school, in particular Photography. I'm really getting into the project I'm doing so all is good. Plus the fact, the project is on sweets. Enough said.
I ordered my website last week and still haven't been notified of a thing. Bah. Current Mood: crappy Current Music: McFly - Saturday night

07:06 pm "This English weather is, well… English… the people seem quite nice… some are stuck up…..hah oh yeah, over here they don’t call them robots, they call them ‘traffic lights’ and you cross the road when a green man shows…not a red one…no, it’s cool!”
On my travels home I was following a foreign exchange student and listening to her twenty minute mobile conversation to someone I’m guessing was back in her home country. It made me smile and made my walk home a lot less road…path….tree…house…car…road… path…tree…house… etc. That phone call must have cost a load. Someone’s gonna have a shock when the monthly phone bill arrives. Or they're filthy rich and own O2 or something. Or she was trying to be one of those cool people who walk along talking to their mobile, talking to herself for twenty minutes. Or I should just mind my own business on my way home and turn my music up louder.
I’m gonna marry Alfie Moon and we’re going to have kids called Alfie Juniour and Alfina. And we shall live happily ever after.
Then I shall wake up. And cry. A lot. Current Mood: giggly

12:05 am I'm hoping to start up a website again. Hoping to. I'll still update on here as well, the entries will probably be the same as the site though. Never fear, I'll still be commenting on your entries, I'm really not that mean! I don't know what happened to my old website, it was hosted at pinchpenny and disappeared. I've been told they have a bad reputation anyway? Soo, I'm changing hosts etc. Any recommendations? Cheap!?
I need sleep, I haven't been feeling too good these past few days, got a chesty cough and bad neck. Oh the fun of winter on it's way. Current Mood: tired
